Key Management Areas

1

Post Investor Updates

Keep your investors informed with regular progress reports, milestones, and announcements.

Project Dashboard → Updates Tab → "+ Post Update"
Milestone Updates:"Completed principal photography", "Album mastering finished", "First distribution deal signed."
Progress Reports:Monthly or bi-weekly reports on budget spend, production timeline, and upcoming milestones.
Media Announcements:Share behind-the-scenes content, press mentions, or festival selections.

💡 Tip: Token holders receive notifications for updates. Regular posting (at least bi-weekly) correlates strongly with higher token price and holder retention.

2

Manage Team Members & Permissions

Add team members to your project and control what they can access and modify.

Project Dashboard → Team Tab → "+ Invite Team Member"
Owner (You):Full access to everything — financials, tokenomics, team management, settings.
Admin:Can edit project details, post updates, and manage production tools. Cannot modify tokenomics or financial settings.
Contributor:Can upload files, comment on updates, and view production schedules. Read-only for financials.
Viewer:Read-only access to project information. Useful for advisors or external collaborators.
3

Track Fundraising & Token Performance

Monitor how your token is performing in the market with real-time analytics.

Price & Volume

Live token price along the bonding curve, 24h/7d/30d trading volume, and price change percentage.

Funds Raised

Total capital raised vs target, progress bar, and breakdown by source (token sales, sponsorships).

Holder Analytics

Number of unique holders, top holder distribution, new vs returning investors, and holder growth over time.

Market Cap

Total valuation, circulating supply vs total supply, and market cap rank among IPX projects.

4

Distribute Revenue to Token Holders

When your project generates revenue (streaming royalties, licensing fees, merchandise sales), distribute earnings to your token holders.

Project Dashboard → Revenue Tab → "Distribute Revenue" → Enter amount → Confirm
Automatic Distribution:Revenue is distributed proportionally based on each holder's token share.
On-Chain Transparency:All distributions are recorded on Base L2, creating an immutable audit trail.
Distribution History:View complete history of all distributions with amounts, dates, and transaction hashes.

⚠️ Note: Revenue distributions are taxable events. Consult with a tax professional regarding reporting obligations in your jurisdiction.

5

Use Production Tools

IPX provides built-in production management tools to keep your project on track.

Budget Tracking:Track actual spend against budget. Categories include pre-production, production, post-production, marketing, and contingency.
Call Sheets:Create and distribute daily call sheets for production days. Include locations, times, crew assignments, and equipment lists.
Timeline & Milestones:Visual timeline with key milestones. Track progress and delays. Visible to investors when marked as public.
6

Handle Investor Communications

Respond to investor questions and maintain an active communication channel.

Comments on Updates:Investors can comment on your updates. Reply promptly to build community and trust.
Direct Messages:Verified investors with significant holdings can send direct messages to the project team.
Announcements:Send push notifications to all token holders for major announcements (launches, partnerships, milestones).
7

Upload Documents to Data Room

Maintain a professional data room with all the documents investors need for due diligence.

Project Dashboard → Data Room → "+ Upload Document" → Select file → Set access level
Recommended Documents:
  • • Pitch deck (PDF)
  • • Detailed budget breakdown
  • • Team agreements & contracts
  • • Legal structure documentation
  • • Distribution agreements or LOIs
  • • Financial projections (3–5 year)
  • • Market research reports

💡 Tip: You can set access levels for each document — "All Investors" for general materials, "Verified Only" for sensitive financials, or "Private" for internal team documents.

Best Practices

✅ DO: Post Regular Updates (At Least Bi-Weekly)

Consistent communication is the single most important factor for investor retention. Even short "status check" updates are better than silence.

✅ DO: Share Both Wins and Challenges

Transparency about challenges builds more trust than only sharing good news. Investors appreciate honesty and realistic assessments.

✅ DO: Keep Your Data Room Updated

Replace outdated documents with current versions. Label files clearly with dates. A well-organized data room signals professionalism to new investors.

❌ DON'T: Go Silent After Launch

The most common reason investors sell is silence from the project team. No updates for 2+ weeks triggers selling pressure and erodes trust rapidly.

❌ DON'T: Ignore Investor Questions

Unanswered questions in update comments are visible to all investors. Ignoring them damages credibility. Respond within 24 hours, even if it's a brief acknowledgment.

❌ DON'T: Give Too Many People Admin Access

Limit Admin access to trusted co-founders. Use Contributor and Viewer roles for most team members. This prevents accidental changes to critical project settings.

Troubleshooting

Q: How often should I post updates?

A: At minimum, bi-weekly. During active production, weekly updates are ideal. Major milestones (completed shoots, deals signed, festival acceptances) should be shared immediately.

Q: Can I remove a team member?

A: Yes, go to the Team tab and click "Remove" next to their name. Their access is revoked immediately. Note: this does not affect their token vesting — vesting schedules are managed separately through the tokenomics configuration.

Q: How do revenue distributions work technically?

A: You deposit revenue into the project's smart contract. The contract automatically calculates each holder's share based on their token balance at the time of distribution and makes funds claimable. Token holders claim their share from their dashboard.

Q: What file types can I upload to the data room?

A: PDFs, images (JPG, PNG), spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX, CSV), presentations (PPT, PPTX), and documents (DOC, DOCX). Maximum file size is 50MB per file. For larger files (e.g., video), use the media upload feature instead.

Q: My token price is dropping — what should I do?

A: Post a reassuring update with concrete information about project progress. Price drops often happen when investors feel uninformed. Share upcoming milestones, recent achievements, and your plan. Avoid panicking — focus on delivering value and communicating transparently.
