Why Create Sponsorship Slots?

Sponsorships are a major revenue stream for IP projects. IPX connects creators with brands and agencies looking to sponsor creative projects. By listing sponsorship slots, you make it easy for sponsors to find and fund your project.

💵

Additional Revenue

Sponsorships supplement your token raise with direct brand funding — often at premium rates.

🏢

Brand Partnerships

Attract established brands that bring marketing support, distribution, and credibility to your project.

📣

Marketplace Visibility

Active sponsorship listings increase your project's visibility to the agency and brand community on IPX.

Step-by-Step Guide

1

Navigate to the Sponsorship Tab

Open your project dashboard and go to the Sponsorship section.

Dashboard → My Projects → [Your Project] → Sponsorship Tab → "+ Create Sponsorship Slot"

💡 Tip: You can create sponsorship slots at any project stage — even before your project is approved. Having sponsorships lined up can strengthen your project review application.

2

Define the Sponsorship Slot

Fill in the details for your sponsorship opportunity.

Title

A clear, descriptive name for the sponsorship opportunity.

Example: "Title Sponsor — Feature Film Premiere"

Description

Detailed description of what the sponsor gets — exposure, branding placement, audience reach, timeline, and exclusivity.

Price

Set the asking price for the sponsorship. Brands can negotiate from this starting point.

Product Placement: $5K–$50K | Title Sponsor: $50K–$500K

Deliverables

List exactly what the sponsor receives — logo placement, social mentions, screening invites, content usage rights, etc.

3

Choose the Sponsorship Type

Select the category that best describes the opportunity.

Product Placement

Brand's product or logo visibly integrated into your content — featured in scenes, worn by characters, or used as props.

Brand Integration

Deeper brand involvement — co-branded content, brand-themed segments, or collaborative storytelling with the sponsor.

Co-Production

Brand becomes a co-production partner with creative input, shared IP rights, and co-marketing commitments.

Title Sponsorship

The top-tier package — brand name in the title, prominent logo placement everywhere, exclusive association with the project.

4

Set Availability & Terms

Define the timeline and conditions for the sponsorship.

Availability Window:When the sponsorship is open for applications (start and end dates).
Exclusivity:Whether the slot is exclusive (one brand only) or open to multiple sponsors.
Category Restrictions:Limit to specific industries (e.g., "tech brands only", "no alcohol/tobacco").
Payment Terms:Upfront payment, milestone-based, or revenue share arrangement.
5

Review & Publish

Preview your sponsorship listing and publish it for brands to discover.

Review slot details → Click "Publish Sponsorship Slot" → Visible to agencies & brands

✅ After publishing: Your sponsorship slot appears on your project page and in the IPX brand/agency marketplace. Interested brands can submit inquiries directly through the platform.

6

Track Inquiries & Manage Deals

Monitor incoming brand interest and manage the deal flow.

Inquiries Dashboard:View all brand inquiries with company details, proposed budget, and message.
Respond & Negotiate:Reply to inquiries, negotiate terms, and request additional information from brands.
Accept & Close:Accept a deal to mark the slot as filled. The slot is removed from public listings.

Best Practices

✅ DO: Be Specific About Deliverables

Brands want to know exactly what they get. "Logo on all social posts + 2 dedicated Instagram stories + premiere event invite" is much stronger than "brand exposure."

✅ DO: Offer Tiered Packages

Create multiple slots at different price points (e.g., Bronze $5K, Silver $25K, Gold $100K). This gives brands options to match their budget.

✅ DO: Include Audience Metrics

Brands decide based on reach. Include your social following, projected viewership, demographic data, and any comparable project performance.

❌ DON'T: Overpromise on Exposure

Be honest about your current reach. Brands will verify claims. Underpromise and overdeliver — that's how you get repeat sponsors.

❌ DON'T: Leave Inquiries Unanswered

Respond to brand inquiries within 24–48 hours. Slow responses signal unprofessionalism and brands will move to other projects.

❌ DON'T: Price Too High for Your Stage

Title sponsorship at $500K makes sense for a well-known creator with proven track record. For new creators, start with modest pricing and build your portfolio.

Troubleshooting

Q: I'm not getting any sponsor inquiries

A: Make sure your project page is fully built out with a trailer, pitch deck, and detailed description. Sponsors evaluate the entire project, not just the sponsorship slot. Also check your pricing — if it's too high for your audience size, brands will pass.

Q: Can I edit a sponsorship slot after publishing?

A: Yes, you can edit title, description, price, and deliverables at any time while the slot is still open. Changes are reflected immediately. If the slot has active inquiries, be transparent about any significant changes.

Q: How do payments work for sponsorship deals?

A: Sponsorship payments are handled through the IPX platform. Once both parties agree to terms, payment is processed through the escrow system. Funds are released based on the agreed milestone schedule.

Q: Can I have multiple sponsorship slots for the same project?

A: Absolutely. Most successful projects have 3–5 sponsorship tiers at different price points and with different deliverables. Just make sure they don't conflict with each other (e.g., don't promise exclusivity to two competing brands).
