How to Track Your Rewards

Monitor member rewards, trading gains, and LP fees

Navigate to Earnings Dashboard

1

Access Your Earnings

From your dashboard, click the "Earnings" tab in the sidebar navigation. You can also access earnings from the wallet page or your memberships dashboard.

ipx.exchange/dashboard → Earnings tab
2

Overview of Earnings Dashboard

The earnings dashboard gives you a complete picture of all income from your IPX activity:

  • Total Earnings: Lifetime income across all sources
  • This Month: Current month's earnings with comparison to last month
  • Pending: Member rewards that have been announced but not yet paid
  • Earnings Chart: Visual graph of income over time (daily, weekly, monthly)

Understanding Member Rewards

How Revenue Flows to You

When an IP project generates revenue (streaming royalties, licensing fees, merchandise sales, etc.), the project's smart contract automatically allocates a portion to token holders. Your rewards are proportional to the percentage of total tokens you hold. Member rewards are sent directly to your embedded wallet — no action required on your part.

Member Rewards Flow

1

Revenue Generated

The IP project earns money from streaming, licensing, or other sources

2

Revenue Reported

The project creator reports revenue and provides documentation

3

Rewards Calculated

Smart contract calculates each holder's proportional rewards

4

Payout Executed

USDC is sent directly to all token holders' wallets

Types of Earnings

Member Rewards

Proportional rewards from project revenue — streaming royalties, licensing fees, merchandise sales, and distribution deals. This is the primary reward stream for token holders.

Monthly or quarterly (varies by project)

Trading Gains

Realized profits from selling tokens at a higher price than you purchased them. Calculated as the difference between your sale price and your cost basis (average purchase price).

When you execute a sell trade

LP Fees

Fees earned from providing liquidity to trading pools. A 0.3% fee is charged on every trade, and your share is proportional to your percentage of the pool.

Continuously (accumulated in LP position)

Viewing Payout History & Schedule

1

View Payout History

On the Earnings dashboard, scroll to the "Payout History" section. Each entry shows:

  • Date: When the reward was paid
  • Project: Which project paid the reward
  • Amount: USDC received
  • Your Share: Percentage of the total rewards you received
  • Transaction: Link to the on-chain transaction for verification
2

Check Upcoming Payouts

The "Upcoming" tab shows scheduled or pending member rewards:

  • Announced: The project has confirmed a reward date and approximate amount
  • Processing: The reward is being calculated and will be sent soon
  • Scheduled: Regular rewards on a recurring schedule
3

Filter and Export

Use the date range picker and project filter to narrow down your payout history. Click "Export CSV" to download a spreadsheet of all payouts for your records or tax preparation.

Setting Up Payout Notifications

1

Access Notification Settings

Go to Settings > Notifications from your profile menu, or click the bell icon on the Earnings dashboard and select "Manage Notifications".

2

Configure Earnings Alerts

Enable notifications for:

Reward Received

Notified when a member reward hits your wallet

Upcoming Reward

Reminded before a scheduled reward date

New Reward Announced

When a project announces an upcoming payout

Earnings Milestone

When your total earnings cross a threshold you set

3

Choose Notification Channels

Select how you want to be notified: in-app notifications (badge on the bell icon), email notifications (sent to your registered email), or both. We recommend enabling email notifications for member rewards so you don't miss payouts.

Withdrawing Earnings

Member rewards arrive in your wallet as USDC. You have several options for accessing those funds.

Withdraw to Bank Account

Use the IPX offramp to convert USDC to USD and transfer directly to your linked bank account. The process typically takes 1-3 business days. Minimum withdrawal amounts may apply.

Navigate to Wallet → Withdraw → Bank Account → Enter amount → Confirm

Send to External Wallet

Transfer USDC or any tokens to an external wallet address (another wallet you control, a hardware wallet, etc.). Transfers on Base L2 cost under $0.01 and confirm in seconds.

Navigate to Wallet → Send → Enter address → Enter amount → Confirm

Put Rewards Back In

Keep your USDC in your wallet and back additional IP communities. This compounds your holdings — member rewards from one project help you join others, growing your collection of IP reward streams.

Tax Considerations for Earnings

Tax Disclaimer

This information is for educational purposes only and does not constitute tax advice. Tax treatment of cryptocurrency and tokenized memberships varies by jurisdiction. Consult a qualified tax professional for guidance on your specific situation.

Member Rewards

Member rewards may be classified as income in many jurisdictions. Each reward received is potentially a taxable event at the time it's received. Keep records of all rewards for tax reporting.

Trading Gains

Profits from selling tokens are typically capital gains. Short-term (held less than 1 year) and long-term (held more than 1 year) may be taxed at different rates. Losses can potentially offset other gains.

Export Tax Reports

IPX provides comprehensive transaction exports. Navigate to Settings > Tax & Reporting to download:

  • • Complete transaction history (CSV/PDF)
  • • Member rewards summary by year
  • • Realized gains/losses report
  • • LP fee income summary

Best Practices

Track Reward Dates

Note each project's reward schedule. Set calendar reminders so you know when to expect payouts.

Export Monthly

Download your earnings data monthly. Regular record-keeping is much easier than reconstructing at tax time.

Put Rewards to Work

Consider using rewards to back new projects and compound your earnings over time.

Verify On-Chain

Spot-check rewards by verifying the on-chain transaction. Transparency is a key benefit of blockchain.

Set Milestones

Set earnings milestones (e.g., first $100, first $1,000). Tracking progress keeps you motivated and informed.

Be Patient

Revenue builds over time. Early-stage projects may not distribute immediately — wait for them to start generating income.

Troubleshooting

Didn't Receive Expected Reward

Problem: A project announced a reward but you haven't received your share.

Solution:

There could be several reasons:

  • Check the announced reward date — it may not have been executed yet
  • Verify you held the tokens at the snapshot time (usually taken 24-48 hours before payout)
  • If you bought tokens after the snapshot, you won't be eligible for that reward
  • Some rewards have minimum thresholds — very small holdings may be batched
  • Check the project's announcement channel for any delays or updates

Reward Amount Seems Low

Problem: You received a reward but the amount is lower than expected.

Solution:

Reward amounts depend on several factors:

  • Your share is proportional to your percentage of total token supply — check your %
  • Revenue reported may be net of expenses (production costs, platform fees, etc.)
  • Early-stage projects may have lower initial revenue as they build audience
  • Review the project update for the actual total revenue and reward math

Can't Withdraw to Bank Account

Problem: The offramp withdrawal option isn't working.

Solution:

Bank withdrawals require:

  • Completed KYC verification — verify your identity if you haven't already
  • A linked bank account — add one in Settings > Payment Methods
  • Minimum withdrawal amount may apply (check current minimums on the withdrawal page)
  • Your region must support the offramp feature — check supported countries list
  • Contact support if you meet all requirements but still can't withdraw

Earnings Dashboard Shows $0

Problem: Your earnings page shows no data even though you hold tokens.

Solution:

This may be normal in some cases:

  • Not all projects have paid rewards yet — check each project's payout schedule
  • Pre-production projects typically don't distribute until revenue generation starts
  • If you only have unrealized trading gains, those appear on your memberships page, not earnings
  • Try refreshing or clearing cache if the data seems incorrect
